This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use "Exit Basis" (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices. We aim for privacy-preserving defaults: we collect only what we need to run the Service.

Information you provide:

• Email address — collected when you opt in (newsletter, account sign-up, or purchase).
• Name — collected at account creation or purchase.
• Payment information — when you purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are entered with and handled by Stripe. Exit Basis does not collect or store your full card number or bank credentials. We may receive limited transaction metadata (e.g., that a payment succeeded, the last four digits, billing region).
• AI Mentor inputs — the questions and text you submit to the AI Mentor feature, used to generate responses and improve the Service. Do not submit sensitive personal or third-party data.
• Support communications — messages you send us.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage and analytics data via PostHog (pages viewed, features used, device/browser type, approximate location from IP, and similar). Used to understand and improve the Service.
• Authentication data via Clerk, which manages sign-in, sessions, and account security.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and secure the Service and your account;
• Process purchases and deliver access;
• Send transactional and (with consent where required) marketing email;
• Provide and meter the AI Mentor feature;
• Understand usage and improve the product;
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party processors

We rely on the following service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices:

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Processors retain data per their own policies.

• Access / correction / deletion. You may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [exitbasis@gmail.com]. We will respond as required by applicable law.
• Email opt-out. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email us to opt out. Transactional messages (e.g., receipts, account notices) may still be sent.
• Account closure. Contact us to close your account.
